Momma

This is an emotional piece for me, and one I had to do. I moved back to the U.S to help take care of my mother, who had been battling late stage Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Three weeks after I got here, my mom lost her battle   The last couple of weeks since she passed have been rough, so I started on this painting as a sort of therapy and way of keeping her with me. I used an old favorite pic of her, one taken when she was around my age now. It's the way I always think of her and will always remember her.
